<p>You must not forget that the success of any easy weight loss method will be as a result of the person using it as a correct attitude is paramount. to remain healthy, or is it because someone else wants you to lose weight.</p>
<p>No matter what Fat loss program you choose, you need to take into consideration the following factors; what, how and when you eat, your behavior and the activity level you are planning to have. Some people are of the opinion that losing weight quickly is the best way but this often causes other medical problems like heartburn or even anemia and creates unrealistic targets.</p>
<p>To lose a realistic pound in weight each and every week all you need to do is reduce your food intake or exercise enough to loose 500 calories each day. Too many people are consuming large amounts of unhealthy food because they enjoy eating but there is no need to force-feed yourself just because you enjoy particular foodstuffs.</p>
<p>Stress can be a large determining factor in how much food is consumed and many women will eat more because they feel low or insecure and when they put on weight they feel worse which continues the cycle. It is nonsense to believe that continued eating and weight gain will not have serious consequences to your health as we now see in the increase of conditions like type 2 diabetes, heart conditions and cancer. Excess weight can be removed with many easy fat loss methods available today but unless the subject is prepared to change their ways, dieting on its own will never be the answer.</p>
<p>One aspect that also needs to be included is how the person pursues the subject of their weight loss program as those who take a more relaxed approach are usually more successful. A positive attitude and open mind are very often the keys to improving life style and eliminating the bad habits. Most people who have maintained their weight loss have found themselves with more energy and actually like themselves more because they have achieved something special.</p>
<p>Easy fat loss programs are all about a person&#8217;s ability to adapt to some demanding living conditions and once you embark upon it, it usually gets easier and easier.</p>

<p>After much deliberation you decide that it&#8217;s time you lost some weight. You&#8217;ve looked at your current diet and decided that you want to make some changes. The first to go is sugar. No more sugar in your coffee, and from now on you&#8217;re going to examine every packet for any sign of sugar. You are convinced that this will do the trick!</p>
<p>What exactly is sugar? Well, it&#8217;s a chemical. That may sound a bit odd, but it puts it in its rightful category. It has no protein, no carbohydrate, no fiber and no enzymes. In fact it is made up of &#8216;empty&#8217; calories.</p>
<p>When you eat sugar, you put your body in a bit of a dilemma. In order to metabolize the sugar it has to borrow nutrients from other cells. When your brain gets the message that its reserves are being depleted, it sends out hunger signals. Your reaction is to come to its rescue &#8211; usually with some high-calorie food. The result is weight gain.</p>
<p>Having stopped taking sugar you may feel the need to have something sweet &#8211; you&#8217;d be unusual if you didn&#8217;t. If you choose a sugar supplement like saccharin or aspartame you are making an error.</p>
<p>One thing that has been puzzling scientists is that despite the growth in the consumption of sugar substitutes, there has been no reduction in levels of obesity, in fact the situation has become considerably worse.</p>
<p>Recent studies have found that far from helping you to lose weight, artificial sweeteners actually help you to put on weight!</p>
<p>Scientists at Perdue University carried out experiments with animals, some of whom were fed food containing natural sweeteners and others with food containing artificial sweeteners. Over the same period those animals fed with artificial sweeteners consumed more calories and gained more weight than those fed with natural sweeteners. Why? Because our bodies have learned to associate sweetness with food loaded with calories. When the calories don&#8217;t materialize we continue to eat to make up for the shortfall in expected calorie intake &#8211; the result &#8211; weight gain. You can&#8217;t fool your body!</p>
<p>So what about sugar? The best thing to do is to reduce sugar intake gradually, but most importantly, avoid artificial sweeteners.</p>

<p>Hundreds of products come out every single day claiming to help you burn fat and build muscle in minutes, days or weeks. These products never work! And you know it. You either end up using that product and screwing yourself up, or you listen to others who bought the product and screwed themselves up.</p>
<p>There certainly are good ones out there too but very rarely will you find one that helps you stay lean for over a year while allowing you to actually enjoy your life. Most of these routines are easily adapted by your body in like 5 to 8 sessions of the same workout over and over again. These routines usually provided a plan that will only last for like a month or two. What then?</p>
<p>It is simple logic that muscle burns fat. Have you seen muscular people getting fat easily? If you build more muscle, your body will use the fat as energy and everything else to help sustain the muscle and increase muscle growth. So why focus on cardio and aerobics when you can focus on building muscle that will automatically help burn the fat?</p>
<p>1. Always go for exercises that target major muscles like the Back, Legs, Chest. Doing exercises for these muscles work all the other muscle fibers at the same time. This gives greater growth for the less but highly intense effort! Deadlifts are more intense than doing leg presses.</p>
<p>2. If you want real muscle growth, you need to work hard in every workout. Go to your max. Compete against yourself in your previous workout. If you did 8 reps Bench Press with 150 lbs last week, go for 9 or 10 reps with the same weight in your next workout. Or increase your weight and train to failure. Keep progressing in every workout.</p>
<p>3. Stick to fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grain carbs and lean protein if you really want to burn fat and build muscle at the same time. If you keep eating junk just so you can put on weight, you will end up gaining fat while building muscle. That is an ugly picture.</p>
<p>4. If you want to get great results, you need to take a week off every 8 to 10 weeks. This rest is necessary for your body to prevent injury and overtraining. Believe me, you will burn fat and build a lot of muscle even in your week off since your body finally has the chance to repair weeks of intense training.</p>
<p>5. When it comes to machines or bodyweight, always go for bodyweight. You&#8217;ll be surprised at the results. Unless you want to work the abs using a cable machine for kneeling crunches or cable chops, you are btter off getting super effective results using free weights and body weight movements than using machines no matter how expensive they are!</p>
<p>These 5 tips are all you need to get a jump start in your goal to burn fat and build lean muscular physique in the shortest time possible. All you need is focus and persistence to fight for what you deserve.</p>

<p>Remember Chrissy from Three&#8217;s Company? This plan was developed by her. Suzanne Somers has gotten into nutrition and fitness in a big way. It started with the Thigh Master and has continued with what people are calling the Somersize diet.</p>
<p>Somersize gets its basis from the ideas behind several other plans. Eating food in certain combinations will help the participants lose weight. The body&#8217;s metabolism has to learn to function properly. Eating junk food and greasy fare has ruined our metabolism and thrown our bodies out of whack.</p>
<p>This diet plan places the blame squarely on white flour.  Foods that contain a high percentage of white flour are extremely high on the glycemic index.  This means that when you eat this type of food your body&#8217;s insulin production spikes.  This results in you becoming more hungry more often and binging on food in order to maintain energy levels.</p>
<p>The Somersize plan came out of Suzanne&#8217;s book, Get Skinny on Fabulous Food. It sounds like a gimmick and several people consider that it is. It is not a complete plan that teaches the basis behind food composition, but does offer lists of eliminated foods.</p>
<p>The Plan divides food into four groups.  The first group being pro-teen and fats.  These two foods are combined because fat and protein eat together slow digestion.  The next group is the veggie group.  Veggies can be eaten as long as they do not contain a large amount of starch.  Luckily there are many vegetables that fit this description.</p>
<p>The next group is the carbohydrate group.  White flour carbohydrates are frowned upon.  However, any carbohydrate derived from healthier grains like whole-grain is always the best choice. Dieters are encouraged to eat cereal cheese and milk but to avoid varieties with excessive fat in favor of those with better ingredients.</p>
<p>Fruits are the last group. Fruits provide healthy sugars. No fruits are off limits just don&#8217;t add sugar or other sweeteners to them or you&#8217;ll defeat the purpose. There is a list of foods to eliminate while on the plan included. They are foods that most plans which stress low calorie carbohydrates tell participants to limit. The only problem with this list is that there is no plan for incorporating them back into the diet in small quantities if the participant wants to do so.</p>
<p>The guidelines are general. Fats and protein can be eaten together but can&#8217;t be eaten with carbohydrates. Vegetables are allowed to be eaten with fats and proteins and carbohydrates. Fruit should be eaten at the beginning of the day. There needs to be a span of several hours between a carbohydrate meal before eating one with proteins and fats. The Somersize plan is quite generic so participants definitely should do their research and be sure they understand the importance of portion control before beginning. </p>

<p>Treadmill walking is an extremely easy way to help lose weight and stay healthy. A lot of people think losing weight is complicated, but this really isn&#8217;t the case. Easy fat loss is achieved when your body burns more calories through exercise than the number of calories you intake from food.</p>
<p>Some people mistakenly believe that if they walk three times a week for a short period of time, they can lose weight easily. This is a myth. Effective weight loss through walking requires you to walk at least 45 minutes or more five to six days a week.</p>
<p>The important thing to remember is to keep up to your walking on a regular basis. You will find it extremely hard to control your weight if you do not exercise consistently. It is also important to bear in mind that walking around your local area may not be enough, especially if you live in a flat area.</p>
<p>Walking on a treadmill can be an excellent way to give yourself a more thorough workout. By increasing the incline of the treadmill, you can simulate walking up hill which not only increases your heart rate, but also causes your muscles to work harder and therefore use up more fat.</p>
<p>By regularly using a treadmill in your workout you will be able to both lose excess weight, and also make sure it doesn&#8217;t return. Of course some people may get bored of using a treadmill rather than exercising outdoors, so here are some great ways to make your workout more exciting:</p>
<p>Walk the Pyramid: This game challenges you both physically and mentally for a total of 30 minutes. Whenever you&#8217;re walking on your treadmill, increase the speed by .1 mph every 15 minutes. Do this for half of your workout and then decrease the speed .1 mph for the other 15 minutes.</p>
<p>1,2,3 Counting Steps: Let&#8217;s face it, working out on a treadmill can be boring. Break the monotony by counting your steps. Take a minute and count your steps and then take a minute break. Continue doing this throughout the duration of your workout. It will keep your workout interesting and over time you&#8217;ll see notice the number of steps you take increase, which will be a reward for you.</p>
<p>Step and Walk: This is an excellent technique because it combines all the benefits of using a treadmill with other forms of exercise. Split your workout into equal segments, chunks of 5 or 10 minutes are good. Now, walk on your treadmill for the first segment. Then get off the machine and do another exercise for the next segment &#8211; such as using a stepper, lifting weights or perhaps using a rowing machine. Then return to your treadmill for the third segment and repeat throughout your workout.</p>
<p>Travel the World: This is a fun little game where you map out the favorite routes through your neighborhood and then imagine yourself walking there while you&#8217;re doing your treadmill walking. What I did was actually record my journey through a local park on my camcorder, and then I watch this while doing my exercise and it&#8217;s like being outdoors no matter what the weather.</p>
<p>The key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is to keep doing your treadmill walking without getting bored. Don&#8217;t be scared to invent your own games and techniques to keep yourself interested and help make your workout seem less like a chore and more like fun!</p>

The idea is that you find an equilibrium and stay there forever. Eat burgers and cheese, nuts, cream cheese, fish and lots more. My skin is tight. My nails are great.</p>
<p>The average 12-month weight loss was around 10.4 lbs for Atkins, 3.5 lbs. The 12 months, measurements for lipids and levels of insulin, glucose and blood pressure for the Atkins group were similar with or more favorable than the other diet groups. The average weight loss across all four groups ranged from 3.5 to 10.4 pounds.</p>
<p>Induction is what a lot of people believe of when Atkins comes to mind. It is a very hard regime with very little selections of food and is the closest diet to get  to its steaks and greasy fry-up reputation. Induction is the first stage of the plan. It lasts 14 days (or more.) Atkins says that you can lose up to approximately 15 pounds during this phase. Induction is the strictest time of the diet plan when all of the above rules are in place. According to the book, Induction last from two weeks to a year, after which you get to start having bread for a special treat on your birthday.</p>
<p>Atkins Diet Induction usually last a minimum of 14 days or more and should see a considerable results and enter in the next phase of Atkins. You can personalize your eating plan habit by adding your favorite foods in your diet in balance between your metabolic responses, your tastes and lifestyle for your health as a whole. This phase will work by increasing carbohydrates intake by 5 grams more until only one pound will be losing from your weight. This method is very important for lifelong weight loss, as it will get you familiar to future eating habits.</p>
<p>By slowing losing the last few pounds, your body would become used to the change in carbohydrates and would make proper carbohydrate intake automatic for you. Third phase of Atkins not only make you slim but also healthy for life. By following pre-maintenance, you would know what?s best for you and what you should do to please yourself and not others.</p>
<p>The reason why people turn to Atkins Diet is weight loss is fast and to overcome high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Reports have proved that people feel more energetic after one week on the Atkins Diet. Dr. Atkins  believes, that overweight people eat too many carbohydrates. Our bodies burn carbohydrates first for energy than fat. Therefore, by reducing the carbohydrates intake and placing more protein and fat in diet, the body naturally loses weight without missing or  skipping essential fats.</p>
<p>Some rules to follow to make sure to maintain your ideal weight for life:*Watch what you eat, only fresh food and not canned.*Keep away from refined sugar, corn syrup, cornstarch and white flour *Eat variety of food of different colors. *Follow your eating plan to motivate yourself ,*Try new recipes with food groups you enjoy and love eating.  *Avoid caffeine and alcohol if possible if not *Take your vitamins and nutrient supplements regularly*Act promptly when you see your weight starts to climb up.*Consistent regular exercise 5-7 days a week is a must to maintain your weight.</p>
<p>At this point, you have reached your goal weight and learnt to select different food groups offering right amount of carbohydrates to maintain the weight loss. Atkins lifetime maintenance teaches you to indulge in some of your favorite foods without worrying about putting the weight back. Maintain the ideal weight and don&#8217;t let your weight fluctuate more than 3 pounds. Weight loss physically tiring and also mentally straining, IT is important to keep the attitude you possessed in earlier 3 stages to keep weight loss constant as a priority in your life. Always weigh yourself once a week to keep a check on you. Any change towards higher side; go back to reduce carbohydrate intake to reach your goal.</p>

You need to do something about it and yet everyday when you lazily crawl out of bed nothing seems to right.</p>
<p>Excessive weight gain is almost always due to an improper diet. Most of the calories we injest will be stored as fat in our bodies if we shift our eating habits because our metabolisms follow patterns.</p>
<p>For the need to address the matter, Dr. Robert Atkins created a dynamic low carbohydrate diet in the 1970&#8242;s, and had a book that elaborated on the diet. It wasn&#8217;t popular when it was first released, but thanks to it&#8217;s reintroduction to the United States in the 1990&#8242;s, it has become more popular and fueled numerous coffee table discussions. The Atkins diet has attested to be favorable in many instances while nutritionists and health experts dismiss it as being a popular fad.</p>
<p>The Atkins diet is broken up into several different stages based on the portion of carbohydrates included into your food chart. In the archetypal introductory phase, it allows for consumption of 20 gm of carbohydrates per day. In these first two weeks, one subsists on bacon, poultry products, meat, cheese, butter, sausage, seafood and oils and he is barred from consuming food with a high glycemic index like cereals, fruits, milk, grains or breads.</p>
<p>During the maintenance section of the proram it is recommended that the dieter increase his carbs by 5 grams each day until he is averages around 40 to 90 grams each day. Adipose tissue will be exposed through extensive carbohydrate consumption.</p>
<p>Listed here are a few of the disadvantages resulting from the low carb diet. As the individual lowers his carb consumption and triggers the metabolism to start breaking down fat in order to release energy, this initially occurs in a healthy fashion. Starvation can cause lipolysis to occur which can cause ketone to form, because of the lack of fat being broken down.</p>
<p>The ketone bodies formed during ketosis, interfere with your blood cells&#8217; oxygen carrying capacity and may permanently damage brain tissues and lead to brain death or coma. So one should stay on the lookout for signs of ketosis. Bad breath is one of the chief indicators of ketosis since the ketone body formed in the digestive system and its interaction with the enzymes and bacteria leads to fermented products. Sluggish movement is also due to lesser energy being released on breakdown of fat. 1 gm of carbohydrate release 7 Kcal of energy while 1 gm of fat releases only 4.9 Kcal of biochemical energy.</p>
<p>On the whole, the Atkins diet will prove beneficial if one does it in moderation and combines a regular fitness program with it. Regular exercise reduces stress levels and improves your mood apart from making you lose weight and look better. The better you feel physically, the more calm, relaxed and confident will you be mentally.</p>

<p>And the Atkins low carb diet isn&#8217;t the only low carb diet that you will uncover. There&#8217;s the ever accepted Zone diet, the South Beach Diet, the Hollywood diet, the Stillman diet, and a multitude of other low carb diets. These diets are all similar in that they encourage a high fat, high protein, and low carb intake. Each diet has its own differences and traits and which one you try is dependent on what you&#8217;ve heard, or read, about these low carb diets. </p>
<p>For the persistent fanatical dieter these low carb diets may be just what they demand, since even with any negative aspects that it might have they do work, and they do aid you to lose weight. If you&#8217;re going on a diet, and it doesn&#8217;t matter overly much which diet it is, you should always be sensible and diet sensibly too. </p>
<p>Losing a few calories swiftly won&#8217;t help you in the long term. If you keep to the direction of these low carb diets though, your dieting troubles shouldn&#8217;t be all that many and you might even find that you&#8217;ve left them all behind.</p>

<p>We live in exciting times! Barak Obama&#8217;s victory signals that we&#8217;re entering a period of change. Actually, people are hungry for change. Don&#8217;t all those people standing in line to vote say something? They sure do!</p>
<p>Much of the change that&#8217;s going to take place in the coming months won&#8217;t be particularly pleasant, but let&#8217;s hope that we have elected a president who forgets about his re-election campaign and has the strength of character and resolve to do whatever needs to be done, regardless of the political consequences. If it happens it will be a political first!</p>
<p>There is often a lot of concern expressed about change. It sometimes has an ominous ring to it. Actually there is nothing to be afraid of.  Without change there is no progress. Change is a necessity.</p>
<p>Actually, change is something to look forward to. Change is just another word for learning.</p>
<p>A world without change is a world where there is no progress. All of us have been stuck in a time-warp, happy to protect the status quo. It&#8217;s done us a whole lot of no good too!</p>
<p>What is for sure is that Barak Obama can&#8217;t be the only catalyst for change. He needs you to change too.</p>
<p>If we&#8217;re looking for inspiration we need look no further than his presidential campaign. If we can show the same determination, self-discipline and commitment in our lives we can make a huge difference to the nation&#8217;s future. Not grand words, but just good common sense.</p>
<p>We could all take one aspect of our lives and see if we couldn&#8217;t try and do things better. Let&#8217;s take health &#8211; or to be more specific our weight. If you need to lose weight permanently you need to change. Personal change is the only real way to lose weight permanently. You need to adopt new behaviors, and you do this by learning new habits &#8211; slim habits. The new president elect has given us an example and a challenge. It&#8217;s a pretty good start, but can we live up to his &#8211; and our &#8211; expectations?</p>

<p>What is your attitude when things get tough? Do you retreat and hope things will just get better? Do you believe that every cloud has a silver lining and it will be all right in the end? When things are bad they always see worse than they are. Sometimes they are, of course, but problems in bad times are always magnified.</p>
<p>Read the newspapers or watch the news on television and you would think the world was going to end. Armageddon is just around the corner&#8230;or is it? Probably not.</p>
<p>Wearing rose colored glasses when things are tough is not very sensible, but we do need to find some sort of balance. If we don&#8217;t, the decisions we take are going to be the wrong ones.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s an alarming fact that we take decisions on 5% of the available information. The message is clear. We need develop our awareness and start to ask more questions. We need to season our diet of bad news with a few facts.</p>
<p>We could make things so much better for ourselves if we asked more questions. The more questions you ask, the better able you are to be able to make informed decisions.</p>
<p>For some strange reason, few of ask questions about our health and about weight in particular. If we&#8217;re overweight, we are reluctant to bring the subject up. We feel vulnerable. Instead we continue with the behaviors that made us overweight in the first place, and hope the problem goes away &#8211; which it doesn&#8217;t. Soon the day dawns when the bill has to be paid.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a great similarity with the current financial crisis.  Doing things that are not in your long-term interest, living a lie, not being totally honest, being selfish and greedy. it doesn&#8217;t make good reading.</p>
<p>But let&#8217;s not always look on the black side. Maybe every cloud has got a silver lining after all! Let&#8217;s start to look for opportunities. Let&#8217;s take our health, and our weight in particular. If we are slim and healthy we will be in a far better position to deal with whatever is thrown at us than if we were fat or obese. Isn&#8217;t it time we shed all those extra pounds and put our life in order? &#8216;The crunch&#8217; should be the catalyst that stirred us into action: time to change and learn some new habits &#8211; slim habits.</p>
